Shipfunk is a logistic platform which connects e-commerce platform to wide variety of logistics companies. Shipfunk is not a traditional integration which allows e-commerce to print packing labels, it is developed to deliver exceptional end-user experience and transparent, smooth operations for people running e-commerce.
What are the key benefits in using Shipfunk?
We calculate shipping costs based on each shopping cart content. This helps to achieve cost savings by adding logic how you show delivery options.
We calculate estimated delivery time for each shipping option from e-commerce warehouse to the end-user. We use fixed variables (opening hours, location of your warehouse) and other variables (big data from shipping companies, order backlog etc.) to offer best possible estimate.

You have single interface to your logistics including all carriers. You can monitor where your orders are going. There is also different API's to implement tracking information to customer service etc.
You can automate processes. Eg. if there are delays during the delivery, you can automatically trigger events.
You can use different sub-accounts under your main account, different warehouses (eg. drop shipping), offer API or backend interface to your business partners print labels and ship from their warehouse. All the information flows nicely to your e-commerce so end-user is aware where the order is going.

Our wide variety of API's can use data from multiple sources (WAMAS, PIM, OM, ERP etc.) so sometimes it is easier to connect this data as useful shipping logic by using Shipfunk
Do you use API's offered by shipping companies?
Currently we do not use API's to deliver our service. We create packing labels and EDI messages by ourself and we have also all pickup points at our own database. This allows us to create more value for the end-user and apply eg. logic for e-commerce to use the cheapest shipping option based on customer location and the content of shopping cart.
